TIXSTAR arrived in March 2016 to provide a dedicated online destination for premium sports & entertainment experiences, basically anything more than just a ticket.
Many customers have traditionally found the experience of searching, comparing, finding and buying to be very time consuming and difficult. Searching multiple websites, finding packages, checking availability, making phone calls, receiving/sending emails, completing booking forms, scanning and emailing..... it was never-ending! There had to be a better way... The answer was a platform that brought all authorised providers together to make it easy for you as the customer to search, find and book.
The solution was found over a beer at a South Melbourne pub with Bike Exchange founders Jason Wyatt and Sam Salter from Marketplacer. We all have a passion for events and experiences and want to make these experiences more easily accessible for everyone. TIXSTAR was created (after a number of beers!) and was officially esablished as part of the Marketplacer - which began with the award-winning BikeExchange (Telstra Business of the Year Winner) and has evolved into a further 14 marketplaces across 9 countries globally.
The group currently operates BikeExchange,The MYER Market, TiniTrader, House of Home, Cycling Tips, Outdoria, GoSee Australia, Lenzo, Cellarspace and TIXSTAR.

Jordan leads TIXSTAR and has been a successful sports + entertainment professional over the past 15 years. Having worked in a variety of commercial sales roles including Etihad Stadium and Essendon Football Club, Jordan deeply understands the industry and some of the experiences accessible for customers. Jordan loves sport + entertainment including live music acts and his Bombers in the AFL.
Clint is renowned for delivering high quality events and has worked in the industry for over 15 years. Having run his own events businesses including Building Brands and the Melbourne Network, Clint understands what the corporate and business consumer wants in today's environment. Clint is a father of two, a passionate cricket follower and supports the Sydney Swans.
Simon Garlick played over 180 games of AFL with the Western Bulldogs and Sydney Swans. After his successful AFL career, Simon was at the helm of the Western Bulldogs for 4 years as CEO before his current role as General Manager of Bastion EBA. Simon is a Director of TIXSTAR and brings strategic and operational expertise to the business. Simon is a father of two, passionate sportsperson and follows the Western Bulldogs.
Jason, along with best friend Sam Salter, started Bike Exchange back in 2007. The success of BikeExchange resulted in expansion into other industries and the creation of Marketplacer, which now operates 9+ marketplaces in 14 countries. Jason is a passionate Western Bulldogs supporter.
Sam, along with best friend Jason Wyatt, started Bike Exchange back in 2007. The success of BikeExchange resulted in expansion into other industries and the creation of Marketplacer. Sam loves to get out on the bike regularly and loves his Western Bulldogs.
In addition to his position at Marketplacer, Jeremy also founded 3SIXTY1 within the Marketplacer group. 3SIXTY1's purpose is to help businesses harness the power of internal and external data to form meaningful and actionable insights, interpreting these insights into implementation plans that ultimately improve commercial performance.
Prior to joining Marketplacer, Jeremy oversaw Marketing at Virgin Australia, with a focus on Trade Marketing , Sponsorship and Media.
Damien joined the team in January 2016 and has been part of the TIXSTAR journey since it's creation.
He is the engine room of TIXSTAR and is responsible for the online platform, liaising with and supporting our vendor partners, developing marketing campaigns and opportunities, as well as much more.
It is a complex role which he always does with a smile and a can-do attitude. A passionate Essendon supporter, there is nothing he wants more than to be there for the next Essendon premiership.
Rachel joined TIXSTAR Group in April 2018 as Head of Partnerships. An experienced professional with over twenty-five year’s experience with a demonstrated history of working in the major event, live entertainment, visual arts, sport, culinary and corporate sectors.
Rach has a passion for major events and has worked with numerous national and international brands delivering unique account management expertise, achieved through forging strong and successful business relationships. Rach loves a great event and her reputation for event management attributes an impressive attention to detail and sophisticated “wow” factor.
Josh joined the TIXSTAR Group in October 2017 as the Corporate Sales Manager.
He has been a commercial sales professional in the sport and entertainment industry for 10 years, with stints at Etihad Stadium, Western Bulldogs Football Club, and media powerhouse Southern Cross Austereo, where he has grown a network of key stakeholders in the industry. Josh specialises on strategic commercial partnerships and prides himself on solution selling - where he understands his clients needs before offering them a certain service or product.
