The Sydney Thunder play their home games at the most modern and fan-friendly stadium in Sydney, Spotless Stadium, located in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct. Redeveloped in 2011, the stadium has a capacity of more than 21,000 and boasts one of the biggest in-stadium screens in the Southern Hemisphere. With an amazing atmosphere generated by the Thunders fanatical fan base, the Sydney Thunder is becoming the destination club of the competition.
With Australian international Usman Khawaja plus captain and former International star Shane Watson, the Thunder have a strong and deep roster of local Australian talent. But, it doesn’t stop there. Big-hitting Englishman Jos Buttler returns for his second season after outstanding performances last season. Jos will be bringing with him his England captain and one of the best batsmen in the world, Joe Root.
With a talented list and a useful mix of experience and fresh faces, the Thunder will hope they can replicate their 2015/16 season glory, when they were crowned Champions.
